Real story behind "Texas Chainsaw Massacre".

Real Story of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre":

                                                  Hello There,
So today I will be talking about the movie "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and the story behind it as it is based on a true story (Yes, that disgusting movie is based on a true story). And yes if you are below 15 or really weak at heart or gag at stuff like this I would recommend you to stop reading this blog...

Now onto the blog...
First I will give you a summary of the film...

So, a group of five teenagers goes on a road trip through the backwaters of 1970s rural Texas fall prey to a murderous cannibalistic family making up of a leather-masked chainsaw-wielding maniac. (I didn't describe it much because I didn't want to spoil this movie because you may want to watch the movie later).

Now onto the real story...

This movie is based on the infamous American serial killer Ed Gein.
Ed Gein was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, on August 27, 1906, to an alcoholic father and an abusive mother who taught him that women were evil, but he still idolized her. He also had an elder brother who was concerned of Gein's obsession with his mother.
Gein's father died in 1940 and his brother died under mysterious circumstances during a fire in 1944 and his mother passed away from health problems in 1945 due to which Gein felt lonely so he stayed in the farm by himself.
In 1957, hardware store owner Bernice Worden disappeared, it was noticed that the last customer to visit Bernice's shop was Ed Gein, authorities arrested him and went to his house to investigate.
Ed Gein's home was filled with female body parts.
Bernice Worden's decapitated body was hanging upside down from the ceiling, "dressed out like a deer".

The body parts found inside Gein's house was:
  • Whole human bones and fragments
  • A wastebasket made of human skin
  • Human skin covering several chair seats
  • Female skulls
  • Bowls made from human skull
  • A corset made from females torso
  • Leggings made from human leg skin
  • Masks made from skin
  • Four noses
  • A belt made up of skin
  • Pair of lips
  • Nails from female finger nails
He also admitted visiting the local cemeteries at least 40 times to dig bodies for decorations and woman suit.
He also explained that he took the bodies of middle-aged women who resembled his mother.
He was found guilty but insane therefore he spent his whole in mental hospital until he died because of cancer in 1984

He was buried close to his family (which I don't think he deserved).
